About Us
It’s another Saturday night, going out with the squad, and you’re trying to
feel yourself , but the non existent baby hairs got you and your closure stressed?
Honey, we have been there! In fact, Wraps of Monroe would not be here if co
owners and sisters, Esthel and Samnie Coleman, did not face struggles of their
own. Whether it was hair breaking off from wearing head wraps for long periods
or struggling with thin edges that refused to grow no matter how much rice water
was sprayed or oil was applied, we have all struggled during our hair journey
After extensive research and an inspiring trip home to the sisters’ ancestral home country of Liberia Wraps of Monroe was born! The brand name, derived frothe capital city of Liberia, is a recognition of the West African culture instilled by the parents of Samnie and Esthel. West Africans love wearing bold, colorful prints that instill a sense of pride in the masses. By sourcing our material from Liberia and lining it with silk in order to protect your hair, we hope that our wraps give wearers that spirit of confidence as they continue their hair care journey. Although we are new to this, our tenacious pursuit of learning this industry continues to drive forward the innovation at Wraps of Monroe.
